At the market...

Today was Evan's first trip to a Farmer's Market. He's still getting over being sick...but the trip was largely successful despite excessive whining. I think he was happy to be bribed with free strawberries and granola samples (those vendors are suckers for big, blue eyes).

I think we'll make this a regular Saturday treat. I remember how much I enjoyed going to the Farmer's Market with my mom when I was a kid. Plus I like Evan to see the fresh veggies somewhere other than a store. Hopefully my garden patch turns out. The kid needs to know his farming heritage...although given his love of tractors and the song "Amarillo Sky," perhaps he's already keyed into that. I also like to support local farmers...and I want him to pick that up as well.

Sorry no pictures, gang. I forgot the camera...and the little guy's still a bit, shall we say, "temperamental" anyhoo. More soon...I promise!
